Arosa is in a wonderful location at 1800 metres above sea level, at the end of the Schanfigg valley so there is no through traffic.

The upland valley with its breathtaking panorama is surrounded by an unbroken ring of mountains 2,500 to 3,000 m high. Arosa extends outwards from its two lakes, in one direction across wooded slopes towards Maran and Prätschli and in the other towards the ring of mountains around Inner-Arosa, covering a difference in altitude of 180 m.

With 1800 hours of sunshine every year, Arosa is really on the sunny side of your holiday dreams. It benefits from broad skies, a south-facing location and favourable cloud conditions.

The wonderful diversity of nature is complemented by every conceivable sporting, leisure and cultural amenity. Whether you are looking for fitness, relaxation, fun, shopping or a bit of all of them: Arosa can satisfy (nearly) all your heart's desires. Even the local bus is free of charge! Arosa's advertising slogan is quite true: "Warning: Arosa can be addictive!". This must mean the sense of longing it leaves you with: a need for the purity of nature and the amazing mountain environment. Because you can certainly never have enough of this unique alpine scenery.
